A 20-year-old woman was stabbed 51 times and had her mouth covered to mute her screams.
In the Korba area of Chhattisgarh, a man is accused of killing a 20-year-old lady by stabbing her 51 times with a screwdriver after she refused to talk to him, according to authorities.
According to city Superintendent of Police (Korba) Vishwadipak Tripathi, the event happened on December 24 outside the pump house colony of South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL). The victim was alone in the home when the accused arrived, the police claim. He put a pillow over her mouth to block her screams and then stabbed her 51 times with a screwdriver.
When he got home later, the victim’s brother discovered her lying in a pool of blood, according to the official.
According to preliminary investigations, the accused, who is from the Jashpur area, acquainted the victim three years ago while he worked as a conductor in a passenger bus and she frequently rode that bus, the victim’s husband claimed.
The accused eventually relocated to Gujarat’s Ahmedabad for work, although they continued to communicate by phone. The authorities claimed that the accused also threatened the woman’s parents when she hung off the phone with him.
