DM Doda orders detailed inquiry on the Social Media news regarding death of a lady in Gundana

Doda, February 16; Taking serious note of news appearing in the Social Media regarding death of Smt. Shahista Begum W/o Mohd. Abass R/O Doru, Anantnag A/P Hajipura Gundana, District Magistrate Doda Vishesh Paul Mahajan has issued an order for detailed inquiry of the matter.
The order reads that Dr. Ravi Kumar Bharti,JKAS, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Doda shall hold a detailed inquiry into the factors leading to the death of the lady and submit his report within a week’s time. Chief Medical Officer, Doda, Tehsildar, Gundana, and Deputy Superintendent of Police, HQR, Doda shall provide all required assistance by Enquiry Officer.
It is pertinent to mention here that the news item appeared in the Social media, wherein it was alleged that the death happened because of negligence of some medical practitioner, while some other social media handles carried news of her natural death. The appearance of such contradictory news items motivated DM to issue the inquiry order to reach out to the actual cause of death, give justice to the bereaved family, and avoid any law and order situation.
