PM Modi Shortens Saudi Visit After Kashmir Attack
In light of the Kashmir terror attack, PM Modi cuts short his Saudi visit and will return to India early Wednesday morning.

Apr 22, New Delhi :In view of the terrorist attack in Kashmir, PM Modi skipped the official dinner hosted by Saudi Arabia and has decided to cut short his visit.
He will leave for India tonight. While he was originally scheduled to return tomorrow night, he will now arrive in India early Wednesday morning.
Earlier, today Prime Minister Modi held a telephonic conversation with Home Minister Amit Shah on the Pahalgam terror attack and asked him to take all suitable measures. PM also asked the Home Minister to visit the site.
PM Modi was visiting the country at the invitation of Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman. The Prime Minister had received a ceremonial 21-gun salute upon his arrival. In a special gesture, Royal Saudi Air Force fighter jets escorted his aircraft as it entered Saudi airspace.
At the airport, PM Modi was warmly received by the Deputy Governor of Makkah, Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, along with Saudi Commerce Minister Majid bin Abdullah Al Kassabi and the Mayor of Jeddah, Saleh Ali Al-Turki.
Security forces launched a search operation following reports of gunfire. The incident comes amid a surge in tourist arrivals in Kashmir, ahead of the annual Amarnath Yatra beginning July 3.
