RBI conducts an intensive consumer financial awareness program at Doda
Doda, November 25; As a part of Nation-wide Customer Awareness Programme during the month of November, the Reserve Bank of India, Jammu conducted an intensive awareness program at Community Hall Doda today.
The programme aims at improving customer relation with financial institutions and general awareness on extant regulations to protect consumer interests, alternative grievance redress mechanisms, safe banking practices, etc., under the aegis of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”, RBI Kehta hai, Jankar Baniye, Satrak Rahiye Programme is being organised by various Banks and RBI in all over India from 1st Nov to 30th Nov.
DC, Doda, Sh Visesh Paul Mahajan was the chief guest on the occasion, besides RBI ombudsman, RM SBI, LDM, Cluster Head JK Bank Doda, Director RSETI, SBI BM Doda, and Branch Manager PNB, EDB, ICICI attended the program.
RBI Ombudsman Ramesh Chand discussed in details about complaints & redressal mechanism, Digital frauds and avenues available to customer.
Sushil Kumar Hans, RM SBI discussed about customer grivience Redressal mechanism, customer’s rights and other issues related with financial institutions working under RBI.
Dy Commissioner, Doda while speaking on the occasion urged the public to remain vigilant of cyber frauds and asked the RBI officials to give wide publicity to the safeguards available for the customers and circulate the helpline number among them through which they can register their complaint in case they feel cheated.
