“Chain Singh’s other daughter, Monika Devi, was found gasping for breath and was evacuated to the District Hospital (DH) Ramban where she was declared bought dead,” the official said.

He said the reason for deaths was yet to be ascertained, however, initial reports suggest it has been due to asphyxiation. “Postmortem of the bodies will reveal the real truth,” he said.

Meanwhile, eyewitnesses told that a foul smell emanated from the mud house when bodies were recovered. “It seems the incident has happened a few days ago,” a neighbor said.
