Doda, October 30: The round second of fourth phase of the ambitious Back to Village Program started today in District Doda when the second batch of 81 officers reached their alloted panchayats, under the overall supervision of DDC Doda Vishesh Paul Mahajan.
During the second round of B2V-4, in all the 81 Panchayats all the scheduled activities were conducted in the villages by visiting officers. The officers visited various Government offices, Schools, CSCs, Play Grounds, Anganwadi Centres, Tourist places, Banks etc. They also visited Amrit Sarovars in their respective panchayats. The officers interacted with the PRIs and the Public along with official from line departments and awared them of various individual and community welfare schemes. They also talked of self employment scheme sponsored by various government organisations/ departments. Besides, many rural assets including Rural Haat, and other RDD assets were inaugurated, Land passbooks were distributed among land holders, Golden Health Cards and E- Shram cards were distributed among beneficiaries.
District Development Commissioner Doda, along with SSP Doda Abdul Qayoom toured in various panchayats, taken up in the second round of B2V4. DDC interacted with visiting officers, PRIs and General public. He participated in special Gram Sabhas at Dugga (Chinta) and Lower Arnora Panchayats. He informed the public that this unique initiative of UT administration has a sole motive of bringing administration at the doorsteps of the people. He laid emphasis on the greater public participation in this programme so that administration can asses the aspirations of the people. He also urged the public to help administration in fight against Drugs menace and unhealthy life style. He spoke on the importance of cleanliness and Swachhta in protecting our fragile ecosystem/ environment.
Visiting Officers recieved grand reception and overwhelming response from the people on the day one of 2nd round of Back to Village phase-4 programme.
Various officers deputed from GAD visited today in their alloted panchayats and took the scheduled activities.
It is pertinent to mention here that the officers shall stay at their respective villages tonight and for the full day tomorrow.
