DDC Doda Chairs grievances redressal camp at Bharath

Timely and quality disposal of the grievances is the top priority of district administration, Directs all officers to ensure speedy redressal of the public issues

Urges local support on Nasha Mukht Bharat and Swachhta Mission campaign

Doda, September 21:
In order to reach out to the public living in the far off places of the district and to dispose off their grievances at their door step, the District Development Commissioner Doda Vishesh Paul Mahajan today chaired the block diwas program at Bharath panchayat of block Dali Udhyanpur.

The program at Bharath was attended by BDC Chairperson Dali Udhyanpur Shabir Ahmed, SSP Doda Abdul Qayoom, SE Hydraulics, SE PWD, SE JPDCL, SP Operations Doda, CEO Doda, CMO Doda, ACD Doda, AC Panchayat, CAHO, CHO, District Sheep Husbandary Officer, and other District and Sectoral heads of various other departments. Huge number of PRIs and general public of the area attended the Block Diwas program at Bharath.

During the program various public importance grievances were raised by the PRI members and prominent persons of the area which includes road connectivity to the unconnected areas, RTC bus services for the area, rationalisation of schools and staff in education institutions, to tap the tourism potential of the area, augmentation of existing roads and power infrastructure, police post for the area, bank facility at Dali Udhyanpur, permanent posting of Tehsildar, speedy execution of JJM schemes envisaged for the area. Besides, other general public issues were also raised in the program for which the DDC paid patient hearing.

SSP Doda, while speaking during the Block Diwas at Bharath laid special emphasis on waging war against the drugs menace. He urged the PRIs to play their proactive role in keeping our society away from the threat of drugs disaster. He advised the people with clarity to desist from involving in anti-national and anti-social activities and said that the spread of drugs menace is an attempt of enemy to revive the draconian militancy in the area. He emphasized on the role of mothers and sisters to ensure that youngsters don’t fall pray to the nefarious designs of the radicalised elements.

While addressing to the general public the DDC said that timely and quality disposal of the issues of general public is the top priority of the district administration and assured that all their genuine issues will be resolved in time bound manner. He also directed the concerned officers of line departments to ensure speedy and time bound resolution of the issues raised in the program.

In response to the issue of rationalization of staff in educational institutions and other issues pertaining to education department the DDC said that the matter is already in the consideration and the entire exercise of rationalization is being revisited and assured that in next 20 days a holistic change will be seen in the department in terms of it’s functioning. Besides, he urged young educated youth of the area to come forward and teach voluntarily in their nearby schools as a good will gesture.

Regarding approval of MGNREGA plans the DDC asked the general public to complete construction of soakage pits and assured that the MGNREGA plan will be implemented for the respective panchayat after the completion of soakagepits. Further, he urged the general public to actively participate in the swachhta mission.

Further the DDC briefed the participants about Nasha Mukht Bharat abhiyaan ongoing in the district and urged locals to inform the district and police administration about the person involved in drug peddling. DDC also urged the youth to keep themselves away from the Drug abuse.

Meanwhile the pledge was also administered to the locals about for Nasha Mukht Bharat.

Similar functions of block diwas were also held at Panchayat Gurekhra, Sub Division Gandoh, Tehsil HQ Sewa Chiralla, Sub Division, Thathri. Panchayat Ghar kuthyara, Sub Division Assar and Shiv Mandir Kandosu, Panchayat Choundri, Block Bhalla Sub District Bhaderwah, where senior officers of District administration listened to the issues of public and responded to the satisfaction of the applicants/ public.
